Hi, my name is Marjie. Sadly I was scammed out of money on 3/28. I NEVER thought this would happen to me. Without going into details as they are personal to my son - I was contacted about my son and told to send money. Normally I would NOT have responded and would have hung up but it all sounded so legitimate.
These scammers knew EXACTLY what to say, they knew things that I wouldn't expect people to know UNLESS they knew my son personally.
I was UNABLE to contact my son - again for his privacy I won't state why..
The scammers managed to get 1000.00 from me that was to go towards my mortgage and HOA payment. I live just off of SSI - so this was a HUGE hit. I'm retired and desperately looking for work regardless. The economy as most know is not going very well for IT workers.. I can't even get a cashier job... I have tried..
I guess it is really true - it CAN happen to anyone..I still feel so ashamed for falling victim.
These last 2 years (2024 and 2025/into 2026) have been pure hell with serious health issues, family issues... just everything.. It has been non-stop chaos, heart-wrenching, scary pain and much loss..
and now this.. if you only knew..
I would sincerely appreciate whatever amount you can spare so I can make these payments and have some breathing room.
