Marivic's Journey to Recovery

My roommate and best friend Marivic Pimentel was involved in a horrific ATV accident while with her family in the Dominican Republic. Marivic was found with a completely shattered nose, blown orbital bone, and fractured collarbone, and is in the process of receiving complete facial reconstruction. It doesn’t come easy to Marivic to share this publicly but no fight is won in isolation. This GoFundMe page is to build a support fund to cover transportation, follow-up procedures, prescriptions that Marivic will need, and much more.

Due to this accident occurring in the Dominican Republic, insurance is unable to cover medical expenses. In DR, each surgery is out of pocket. Even the surgical materials needed, need to be purchased out-of-pocket. All money donated will be used for medical bills for the two surgeries she has had and any upcoming surgeries she may need. We want to help her make her recovery as quick as possible and alleviate any financial stressors that have arisen during this difficult time.
