This Monday, my sister's sweet dog, Scout, was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma — an aggressive cancer that moves fast and gives very little warning. Scout's body declined within a few days of diagnosis, and Marit had to make the heartbreaking decision to put her to sleep on Thursday morning.
Scout was adored by so many people — she was gentle, loyal, hilarious, and loving. She brought so much joy to our lives and to everyone who knew her.
Unfortunately, giving Scout the care she needed at the end of her life - emergency vet visits, overnight stay at the pet hospital, diagnostic tests, medications, and end-of-life care - added up to over $7,000. So many people know and love Marit and her pups, and I’m hoping I can help raise enough money for her to cover Scout's final medical expenses so that the financial burden doesn't fall so heavily during an already difficult time.
Thank you so much for all of the love, prayers, and support you've all already given her during this time. Scout was such a gift to all who knew her. Even if you're not able to contribute financially, sharing, and your prayers are also very appreciated.
