Marissa is my sister, and she’s always been the kind of person who’s there for anyone in need. She’s loving, supportive, and has a way of making people feel seen and cared for. Right now, she’s facing a difficult chapter in her life. Marissa recently had a shunt placed due to hydrocephalus and intracranial hypertension. The surgery was necessary, but she’s still struggling with her health and waiting for a clear diagnosis. Because of her condition, she’s unable to work for at least six months, and possibly even longer. This has been incredibly hard for her, both physically and emotionally, as she tries to navigate the uncertainty and challenges that come with her illness.
The funds raised through this GoFundMe will go directly toward Marissa’s living expenses and medical bills, since she does not have insurance. She also needs to travel out of town to receive specialized medical care, which adds extra costs and stress. Every dollar donated will help ease the financial burden so Marissa can focus on her recovery and getting the care she needs. We’re asking for your support—whether it’s through a donation or simply sharing Marissa’s GoFundMe on social media. No amount is too small, and we appreciate every dollar and every share. Thank you for helping Marissa during this difficult time.
