My sons and I kindly ask for your support and generosity as we rally around my daughter Marissa, or as her friends call her "Sasha", a brave 28-year-old woman who has recently received the devastating diagnosis of stage 4 breast cancer. About Marissa:

Marissa is a vibrant, caring and determined young woman who has always been a pillar of strength to those around her. She is a big sister to her two brothers, Sean and Nicolas. She is a gifted writer who has self-published 3 books. She is a proud dog-mom to Poet, her King Charles Cavalier, who is always by her side. She is a devoted friend with a carefree spirit. But despite the challenges she has faced, she has maintained an unwavering spirit and an optimistic outlook on life. Marissa is a beloved daughter, big sister, and friend who has touched the lives of many through her kindness and selflessness.

Stage 4 breast cancer comes with its own unique challenges. Marissa is now confronted with the arduous task of undergoing multiple biopsies, hormone deprivation therapies, radiation, and hopefully surgery. Hormone deprivation will be life long for her and will deprive her of the chance to be a mom someday.
