Support Marisol's Family After Tragic Loss

The entire team at Guzman Hospitality Group is in shock and mourning the tragic loss of Marisol Fuentes, who passed away yesterday at La Casita. Marisol was a beloved member of our team across all our sister restaurants, and she poured her heart into every community she served, just as those communities adored her.

Marisol was a truly kind individual with a contagious smile, always wearing her heart on her sleeve. For the past few years, she proudly called Berlin home and cherished every person who walked through the doors of La Casita.

We want to honor Marisol's beautiful spirit and support her family in the best way we can. We invite everyone in Berlin to drop off flowers outside La Casita as a vigil.

For the time being, La Casita will remain closed. We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and gratitude for everyone who has reached out during this incredibly difficult time. This is a devastating loss for our entire team and family.

The donations will be given directly to Marisol’s family to help cover funeral expenses. I will be forwarding the funds to Marisol’s brother, Eduardo Fuentes, immediately.
