I never imagined I would be in a position where I’d have to ask for help like this, but life has taken an unexpected and overwhelming turn.

My name is Marisol Casquete, I’m 31 years old, and I’m a parent to three amazing kids who mean everything to me. Recently, I was diagnosed with Graves’ disease, a serious autoimmune condition that has made everyday life incredibly difficult. What used to be simple—working, caring for my children, keeping up with bills—has become a constant struggle.

Over the past few months, my health has declined to the point where I haven’t been able to work consistently. The symptoms—extreme fatigue, heart issues, and other symptoms make it hard just to get through the day, let alone maintain a steady income. Because of this, I’ve fallen behind on bills and accumulated more debt than I ever thought possible.

On top of that, I have medical expenses that I have to pay out of pocket just to manage my condition. These medications aren’t optional—they’re necessary for me to function and be there for my kids. But choosing between paying for medicine or putting food on the table is a decision no parent should have to make.

Right now, my biggest fear isn’t for myself—it’s for my children. I want to be able to provide for them, to make sure they’re safe, fed, and cared for, but I’m struggling to do that on my own.
