Support Marisol after a Chain of Unfortunate Events

This fundraiser is for my dear friend, Marisol Garcia, who has been hit with unexpected losses and is in financial distress. I am running this GoFundMe with her full knowledge and consent.

Marisol was proud to be buying her very first home for her parents, who were lifelong renters. Two days before the closing, she was laid off from her nonprofit job due to cuts in their federal funding. Despite an uncertain future, she still had her side gig as a makeup artist and was hopeful she would find a new fulltime job quickly. She took a leap of faith and continued with the purchase of their new home.

As part of her severance, Marisol was required to work two more weeks to train her replacement. Unfortunately, she contracted Covid while at work and, ultimately, her parents did as well. Two days later, her dad (already frail from a stroke last year) was rushed to the ER and admitted; a few days after that he was moved to the ICU. Things have quickly taken a downturn and less than a week after coming to the hospital, he has now been placed in hospice. All within three weeks of her losing the job she loved and was so good at.

Marisol is beside herself with grief for her father. She is in a total panic that she could lose her home without ever having even lived there. She is humble and hates to ask for help, so I and her other friends are reaching out to ask the community for prayers and financial assistance in this time of need.
