In Loving Memory of Maritza Rosibel Mira (05/10/1975 – 07/19/2025)
On July 19th, our world was shattered. Our beloved daughter, mother, aunt, and friend, Maritza Rosibel Mira, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loved ones.
Maritza is survived by her sons, Fernando Marquez and Emilio Marquez; her parents, Jose and Otilia Mira; her niece, Naara Zamudio; and her nephew, Eliezer Zamudio.
In June 2020, Mari was diagnosed with stomach cancer. With unwavering faith and the support of her family and friends, she bravely fought and went into remission. Sadly, she later received the devastating news that the cancer had returned and spread to her bones. After a courageous three-year battle, Mari gained her wings and left us with her beautiful spirit and unforgettable smile.
Mari was a light to all who knew her—an incredible woman with a kind heart, an honest voice, and strength that inspired everyone around her. She was a pillar of love and support for her parents, and she raised her two sons with deep devotion and pride. Whether you knew her as Mari, or “Mira” as many of her friends and coworkers did, you knew her to be a beautiful soul who always had a kind word or helping hand ready.
One of Mari’s final concerns was for her sons—how they would navigate life without her, especially with the financial burden of funeral expenses and medical bills. This GoFundMe was created in honor of Mari’s wish: to ease that burden for Fernando and Emilio so they can focus on healing and moving forward.
We are humbly asking for your help. Any amount, no matter how small, will make a difference and help us honor Mari’s life with the dignity she deserves. Your support, prayers, and donations mean the world to us.
On behalf of the Mira family, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
With love and gratitude,
The Mira Family
