Hi, my name is Marcos Berdecia, though many of you know me as Mike.

I’ve created this GoFundMe on behalf of my sister, Marisol—who we all lovingly call Mari.

Mari is a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Ever since I was a kid, I can remember her as someone who worked hard, put her family first, and truly embraced life. She loves to dance and is a huge foodie! Mari has always been an animal lover, caring for pets of all kinds over the years. She’s the type of person who greets everyone with a warm smile and would give the shirt off her back to help someone in need, even when she didn’t have much to give. That’s just who she is.

In August of this year, our world changed when Mari was diagnosed with Stage 4 Adrenal Cell Carcinoma. The mass originally located in her left lung spread to her adrenal gland, where it has grown from 5cm to 8cm in just a short time. Unfortunately, there is no cure, but our goal is to make sure she receives the best treatment possible, along with the care and pain management she needs. Mari is incredibly resilient, and we know she is determined to fight this.

Because of her diagnosis and upcoming chemotherapy treatments, Mari is unable to work. This has put a significant financial strain on her and her family. All donations will go toward helping with medical bills, household expenses, and living costs during this difficult time.
