Hi, I’m Leslie. My husband Mario was recently diagnosed with stage 3 Adenocarcinoma (Esophageal Cancer) from Barrett’s esophagus. Five months ago, he started having issues swallowing food; then it became difficult to swallow liquids. At this point, we had an appointment scheduled. He has lost 85 pounds in the last five months. We just thought it was from not being able to eat like he used to. My gut feeling was telling me something was really wrong. Hearing the doctor tell my husband, “It’s a tumor, you have cancer,” was a stab to the gut, to say the least.
So now we’re on this cancer journey, and you know what? We’re going to beat it!✝️ We’re just going to need some help financially, as Mario’s oncologist informed him that he more than likely won’t be able to work while going through his treatments and surgery. These will be intense, full-throttle FLOT treatments starting with chemotherapy right away and surgery right after, then back to chemotherapy to make sure. If you’re not able to donate funds, prayers are even better! You know, even while feeling horrible and not able to eat, this man made sure he was up and at church every Sunday morning, as well as working every single day!!✝️❤️ God is bigger than all of this and can turn things around in the blink of an eye. Thank you for your prayers and support. We love you all! We pray you all have a blessed day! Keep God close✝️
