Support Mario Martinez: Stroke Recovery

Hello friends and family,

On Sunday, September 24th, Mario had an ischemic stroke. He was sent to surgery where they were successfully able to remove a blood clot in his brain. The stroke caused apraxia and right sided weakness. This has affected the use of his right arm, right leg and his ability to communicate.Mario is now in acute rehab therapy where he is re-learning how to use his right side again, gaining the strength to talk, walk and take care of his basic daily needs.During the healing and rehabilitation process; which will take months, Mario will be unable to work.

We are asking for assistance and support through your donations to help cover medical and other living expenses that Mario and his family will undoubtedly incur. This fundraiser will help lighten the load that unexpected medical emergencies can bring and will allow him to focus on his recovery.

Mario is a son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle, friend and everyones favorite manager. He is hard working and dedicated and those who love him know him as humorous and witty. Mario is a fighter through and through, who meets every problem with stubbornness and the willingness to overcome. We are hoping that he will make a full recovery and return to the fun-loving, charismatic Mario that we all know and love.
