My Name Is Mario Espinosa—A Christian Theologian, Space Dreamer, and MS Advocate on a Mission to the Stars
Since childhood, I’ve looked up at the stars with wonder, believing God placed that dream in my heart. That dream was ignited in second grade during a field trip to NASA’s Johnson Space Center, and later fanned into flame while working at Space Center Houston during its opening years.
Now, decades later, I’m answering the call—not just to explore space, but to inspire others through it.
My mission is called “Providence One” — a symbol of being guided by God, driven by discovery.
Why I’m Raising Funds
To pay for astronaut training opportunities which include:
- Spacesuit Training with CHaSE
- Zero-G Weightlessness Flight
- SCUBA and Neutral Buoyancy Certification
- High-G Flight and Space Physiology Programs
These are crucial steps toward becoming a citizen astronaut and fulfilling a dream I’ve carried for over 40 years.
But that’s not the whole story.

- Inspiring the next generation of STEM students and dreamers
- Advocating for Multiple Sclerosis research in honor of my incredible wife
- Showing how science and the Christian faith can beautifully coexist

- Proving that with God, nothing is impossible
I’m raising $75,000 to cover astronaut training and to take one step closer to flying onboard Blue Origin's New Shepard or similar commercial spacecraft.
