This is my best friend, Marina Angioletti. Marina has been a light in my life and a trusted confidant for 20 years. She has a kind heart, is passionate about social justice, and a hard worker. Recently, Marina was blessed with the arrival of her sweet baby girl, Sorella June. She and her husband Sal have been over the moon in love with their life as a family. They are amazing parents and good forces in this world.

This week, Marina received some terrible news. After a health scare that landed her in the hospital, she was informed that she has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer. Marina and Sal are industrious individuals who have worked hard all their lives. Sal has proven to be a valuable asset to his company, but has unfortunately had to take unpaid leave to care for their baby as they begin this long road together. Marina has had to step away from her job as well as her health has deteriorated rapidly. They are facing many unknowns without any income, and this is a scary time for them both. Marina is looking at chemotherapy, surgery, and more chemotherapy. The prognosis is stark, but we are hopeful, and we are all rooting for her.

This gofundme is intended to ease the burden of two hardworking people who are suddenly without income and have a small child to care for. From expensive cab rides to the doctor, to medical bills, to literally putting food on the table in a time of rampant inflation, this family needs our help. Neither of them asked for or deserve this.
