On March 11th of this year my sister, Paula Schuler, passed away suddenly. While her official cause of death was pneumonia, septic shock, organ failure (liver, kidney, heart), and pulmonary hypertension were also listed as secondary factors, among others. Although the exact event(s) leading up to her passing remain unknown, we believe Paula unfortunately suffered a fall which left her unconscious for an undetermined amount of time.
Paula dedicated her life helping others, having been a nurse for 40+ years, spending the bulk of this time working for the Washington State Department of Corrections before lending her service to various long-term care facilities in both Shelton and Olympia. She also made sure that any cat who stumbled upon her doorstep was taken care of, forever honoring her late daughter’s dream of becoming a veterinarian.
While I had prior knowledge of being the executor of her estate, nothing could have prepared me for my sister’s abrupt and tragic passing. Funeral costs and hiring a probate attorney has caused a tremendous financial strain that I don’t foresee myself recovering from anytime soon, if at all, as I myself am retired and occasionally struggle to make ends meet.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
