Help Me Lay My Twin Sister to Rest
My name is Marilyn Bliss, and I’m reaching out for help during one of the most heartbreaking times of my life. My twin sister, who suffered from dementia, was abandoned by her daughter in the hospital on September 22, 2024. No one in our family was informed of her hospitalization until October 25, when we received a call that she was there.
When my twin sister was admitted, she had a brain bleed, but the hospital had no details about her condition because her daughter—who holds power of attorney—refused to provide any information or answer phone calls. On October 28, my sister was placed on life support, and just two days later, on October 30, it was removed. She passed away on November 1, 2024.
I got a phone call on December 19th, that her body has remained in the morgue and her daughter has not taken care of her. I am doing everything I can to put her to rest, but as a single woman with a low income, I simply cannot afford the cost of cremation on my own. Her daughter, who abandoned her, refuses to help in any way.
I am humbly asking for donations to help cover the cost of her cremation so I can finally bring my sister peace. Any amount, no matter how small, would mean the world to me and would help ensure my sister is laid to rest with the dignity she deserves.
Thank you for your kindness, support, and compassion during this difficult time.
