Cellist and friend to so many, Marika Hughes, was in a horrific head on collision on January 15th. We are all so relieved that she was able to walk away from this crash with only fractures in her left hand and intense bruising . However, she will need surgery and therapy and her cello was significantly damaged in the accident. The recovery time will take some months. She will not be able to play the cello or work during this time.

Marika is recovering in Brooklyn with friends and family taking care of her. She's making lemonade out of lemons - enjoying the support and company of those who love her while she heals and navigates everything.
