For years, September (Maria) has been a shining star for the MUSC community. As a dedicated housekeeper in an intensive care unit, Maria has spent many days ensuring the cleanliness of the unit is upheld.

Maria is the kind of person who everyone knows on the unit due to her work ethic and authentic personality. She takes pride in her work and making an impact on others in their time of need.

Now, it’s time for our community to help Maria.

A couple of weeks ago, Maria was involved in an accident that has left her unable to work for a prolonged period of time. Although she’s receiving top level care, the financial hardship from medical, legal, and daily living expenses is growing.

Lets all come together and give back to someone who has spent her career taking care of others.
