I have been diagnosed with multiple myeloma and am currently undergoing CAR-T Cell treatment. As a retiree, I am grateful to have adequate insurance, but the costs are still overwhelming. I am responsible for meeting my insurance deductible for both last year and this year, and I also have a copayment for each treatment. The invoices are starting to arrive, some totaling over a thousand dollars, and I simply do not have the resources to cover these expenses on my own.
