As many of you know, Mariel’s cancer returned in 2025. She underwent another stem cell transplant and is thankfully back in remission. Treatments like this leave her immunocompromised, which makes even common illnesses much harder on her body.

During this most recent cold and flu season, the Spicer family got it all. This has wreaked havoc on Mariel's already struggling immune system and she has had multiple hospital stays.
