About Scotty:
Scotty Knickerbocker (03/28/1972 – 11/05/2024) was a cherished member of the Big Bear Lake community. Known for his humor, generosity, and unique talents, Scotty was always the guy people could count on. He worked as a firefighter, chef, and ski lift operator at Snow Summit and brought laughter and joy wherever he went.
Scotty’s family has deep roots in Big Bear, dating back to 1910, when his great-grandfather, William “Bill” Knickerbocker, served as the town’s first dam keeper. His legacy lives on through his children, Travis and Tara Knickerbocker, and the countless lives he touched.
