Marie Florio is a devoted mother of four, a beloved friend, and a compassionate nurse. She has spent her career caring for patients from all walks of life during their most vulnerable time, caring for new moms and babies in the maternity ward and aiding cancer patients during treatment. Today, she finds herself on the other side of the hospital bed—facing the fight of her life.

While out of town, Marie began experiencing symptoms that led to the shocking discovery of a serious brain tumor. She was rushed into emergency care, far from home, and her family had no choice but to stay with her as doctors moved quickly to evaluate and treat the tumor. What was supposed to be a short fun family vacation turned into an unexpected medical crisis.

Marie recently underwent brain tumor surgery, and although she is fighting with incredible courage, the road ahead is long. She will need ongoing treatment, follow-up procedures, and extensive recovery time. This means she is unable to work, leaving the family suddenly without her income—at a time when medical bills, travel costs, and day-to-day expenses are rapidly increasing.

Anyone who knows Marie knows her heart. As a nurse, she has dedicated her life to helping patients through their most vulnerable moments. She is the person who holds hands, comforts families, and brings light to people on their hardest days. Now, it’s our turn to hold her up.
