Hello family and friends. My mother, Maria Alvarado, has been diagnosed with Ovarian cancer. As you can imagine, this has been an incredibly challenging time for our family.

Maria is a loving daughter, mother, and grandmother and has always been the pillar of strength for our family. She is at the start of her treatment and expecting surgery in the next several weeks. We are still learning the path of all that’s involved in this life-threatening illness. We are optimistic about her recovery.

The cost of the medical care needed has placed an immense financial burden on our family. This is why I am reaching out to you with this heartfelt plea for any assistance you can provide.

Your kindness during this difficult time would mean the world to us. Your thoughts, prayers, and words of encouragement are just as valuable to us and provide much-needed strength.
