My name is Jez and this fundraiser is for a good friend of mine, Maria.

On Sunday at 4 a.m., Maria woke up to literally her worst nightmare: her car unexpectedly caught on fire. Thankfully, her daughter, Valentina, was at a friend's house for a sleepover and wasn't there to experience their brand-new car burn down. As we all know, times are extremely hard, and Maria, being a single mother who works, has lost her only transportation to work and any means of transportation to get her daughter around. Maria has been experiencing trauma from this because if the car alarm wouldn't have gone off, God knows how much worse the situation could've been. The police and fire department cannot figure out what was the cause of the fire, which leaves so many unanswered questions. And Honda is stating that they will be paying off the car, but unfortunately, she will have to come up with another down payment and start the car purchase all over again. That car was more than just a car; it was HER DREAM car, and it hurts to watch someone who has worked so hard unexpectedly go through something like this. If you find it in your heart, please help Maria and Valentina get another means of transportation.
