My idea is to have this space be a community meeting point for Education, Culture & Herbal Medicine. I plan to invite local women to the project to assist with herb gathering & processing and to teach classes about Andean plants and medicines.

For over 15 years, I’ve been immersed in the world of plant medicines, but this exciting project would give me the opportunity to continue on a larger scale, including sharing with international visitors, while giving back to my community.

My goal is to open La Bruja Verde Apothecary Lounge.

La Bruja Verde means the Green Witch in Spanish and an apothecary is an old herbal pharmacy or herbal pharmacist. La Bruja Verde is the name of my little business in Peru selling herbal medicines, skincare and offering classes.

The Apothecary Lounge will be a space in Cusco that is a combination of herbal pharmacy, library, bar & cafe. All drinks will be made from herbal medicines and the focus will be on herbal education.

I will be offering workshops and classes, together with guest teachers. Classes will range from all herbalism topics, gardening and permaculture, to nutrition and women's issues including menopause and how to stay empowered while growing older.

My heart is filled with excitement as I get ready to launch this project. It will be fulfilling my dreams of herbal business ownership, connecting to my community in a meaningful way and expressing myself through teaching.
