My name is Leslie and this is my mom, Maria but family knew her as Elva. My mom was a strong woman. She was intelligent. She was a hard worker and most importantly, she was the funniest person I ever met. I take after her, definitely. But she was funnier.

We took mom to the ER. She hated hospitals. And when she could speak to us, she joked about escaping. My mom was too ill and the doctor did everything he could. So, we brought her to where she wanted to be. A few days later, she passed away at home. I’m devastated but I’m grateful for her and it was just her time,

She was the best mom. It’s been very hard for us. This is a very emotional, exhausting and I wish my mom was here to talk to about it. But I will see her one day and I’ll tell her then.
