Support Maria's Fight Against Breast Cancer
Donation protected
Hello,
I'm Maria and am 38 years old. I'm a patient at the 1M clinic at San Francisco General. Right now, I'm dealing with metastatic breast cancer diagnosed in October 2024. This has forced me to quit my new job at the post office, which was supporting me and my 13-year-old son, Ruben. The diagnosis has caused lots of emotional and financial stress.
I was born and raised in San Francisco and live in the Bayview. I love to go to Fort Funston and Ocean Beach and used to take Ruben walking around Lake Merced every weekend. He plays clarinet, as well as football, basketball, and soccer. Last semester, I was studying accounting at City College, working toward my AA degree, which I'd like to try to continue through cancer treatment, even if it means doing it remotely. I want to be able to regain enough health to go to his school events too.
Donations would help me raise my son, take care of increasing bills, restore my cellphone service, and pay for tuition and books. I'd be thankful for whatever you can donate.
