Help Cover Funeral Expenses for Maria

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Maria, a devoted single mother of three and beloved granddaughter of Ruby Sutton. Maria worked hard while battling chronic illness, often pushing through exhaustion to provide for her family and to be there for those she loved.

She is survived by her three children:

LaTrease Sutton-Smith (Area Residential Care, Imagine The Possibilities)

Ezikieal McCalip (student at Lionel University studying Exercise Science)

Elijah McCalip (currently a Junior at Dubuque Senior High School)

Maria also leaves behind her parents, Elsa and Dave Sutton of Dubuque, her brother Jay Sutton, and many other relatives and friends who loved her dearly.

We are raising funds to help cover funeral and memorial expenses so that Maria’s family can honor her life without the added stress of financial hardship. At this time, we are hoping to cover the costs of the funeral. If there are any additional funds raised they will go directly toward supporting Elijah (16) with living expenses until he graduates high school.
