Support Maria's Family: Funeral and Transport Funds

With a heavy heart, I share the passing of Maria Karacheban. Though she is no longer with us, she will never be forgotten. On March 26, 2025, we lost a Godly woman – a devoted wife, a loving mother, sister, daughter, grandma, and friend. Maria was always the first to help people with her most valuable and precious resources…her prayers and her time. She leaves behind her husband, their 4 children and their spouses, her 15 grandchildren, and her brothers and sisters. Maria was an incredibly hardworking and devoted believer in God, very seldom missing a chance to meet with her prayer groups or attend church. Her remarkable way of seeing the positives in everyone and not retaliating against insult or abuse, and instead responding with humility and courage, proved to everyone she came in contact with her steadfast belief and trust in God. Her generous heart, her lovely smile, and her daily prayers will be missed by not only her large family but by everyone she came in contact with.

As we navigate this heartbreaking loss, we want to honor Maria with the farewell that matches her beautiful soul. We are raising funds to help with funeral expenses and to transport her back to Oregon from South Carolina so that her body may rest next to others in her family. She lived in Oregon for almost 30 years and considered it her home. Maria was planning on moving back before she passed away and we would like to honor her request.
