Maria was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma in April 2025, turning her world upside down. After her diagnosis, she was unable to secure accommodations at work and felt she had no choice but to resign, leaving her without a steady income. The mounting medical bills from biopsies, CT scans, MRIs, and other tests have added to her stress, making it difficult for her to focus on her treatment and recovery. Maria is now preparing to undergo chemotherapy, followed by breast surgery, and then another round of chemotherapy. The financial strain is overwhelming, and our family is doing everything we can to support her during this challenging time.
Maria has always been a source of strength and kindness for those around her. She is a loving, family-oriented person who has faced more than her share of hardships. After losing her spouse in a tragic car accident in 2015, she worked tirelessly to support her family and maintain their home. In 2017, Hurricane Harvey took nearly everything from her, and again last year, Tropical Storm Beryl brought more loss. Despite these setbacks, Maria has remained resilient, always willing to lend a helping hand to others, even during her most difficult moments. She finds joy in gardening and cherishes time spent with family, showing her caring spirit in everything she does.
We are reaching out to our community for help so Maria can focus on healing without the added burden of financial stress. Your support will go directly toward her medical treatments and living expenses, giving her the chance to recover and regain her strength. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference for Maria and our family. We are deeply grateful for your kindness and generosity as she faces this fight with courage and hope.
