Support Marianne's Chelation Treatment Journey
Donation protected
Dear Friends of Marianne Lust,
I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Marianne with the intention of rallying her community to support her - financially and otherwise - as she continues her several decades-long journey to detoxify heavy metals from her body. All the funds raised, to the penny, will be deposited into her bank account. She has just begun chelation treatments, which will last several months.
with gratitude, a whisper, and a prayer,
Megan Godfrey
Her beloved Deborah gives you this introduction to her situation:
Dear Friends,
For several years now, Marianne has been wondering if she had early dementia because of her increasing 'cloud-head'. She wanted to take a test for memory loss, but was told by her beloved primary care doctor that they wouldn't even let her in the door for the test. Now that doctor, and her naturopath, and her acupuncturist all concur that
those symptoms (along with increasing exhaustion, long-standing heart problems, and more) are most likely due to ongoing, serious metal poisoning caused by the long ago shattering of a hip replacement.
For about 20 years, Marianne's been treated by knowledgeable naturopaths and wholistic doctors with various supplements to help decrease the metals inside her (chromium, cobalt, and now apparently also lead). Now these supplements have pretty much ceased having any effect in her body. So she is about to start a lengthy treatment (it's actually a series of 30 treatments) of what is called chelation to help remove the metals. The AMA does not ban chelation, but it doesn't address or recognize it either - meaning there is no insurance.
Those of you who have known Marianne over the years know her to be one of the most extraordinarily generous-with-money people you will ever meet. For most of her life, she indeed was blessed to have the money with which to substantially help more people than anyone knows about except me, and I haven't even grasped the whole of it. She is unbelievably embarrassed that we are needing to ask for financial help now with the cost of the treatments - which will come to $4500 - but the truth is that because of a small constellation of reasons, the money she once had to be so generous with is no longer there, and hasn't been for some time.
We are not starving by any means! It's just that a large cost like this one is more than we can handle. Marianne says as only she can:
"I'm just grateful to know that if you good people know about it, it means I will ride on a blanket of prayers and good wishes. IF you are able to contribute anything at all, please remember that $4 is actually more than equal in the great realm of heart to $4 million."
She went on and on about 'not wishing to stress you or your piggy banks', but I'm leaving that part out because the point is that if it works for you at this time to give a bit of help however small, we're grateful. If not, we're so grateful that we know you, and to all we send heartfelt blessings.
Thank you, dear people,
Deborah
