Hello, my name is Barbara, and today I am writing these words with my heart in my hands to ask for help for my grandmother, Marianela Mendoza, who at 81 years old is facing the toughest battle of her life.

6 months ago she was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma in her throat, a painful type of cancer that makes it hard for her to eat, speak, and sometimes even breathe. Watching her go through this has been one of the hardest experiences for our whole family, but we’ve also seen her incredible strength and will to keep fighting.

My grandma has always been the pillar of our family—the woman who taught us values, who raised us with love and sacrifice, and who has always been there in every important moment of our lives. Now it’s our turn to be there for her.

Medical bills, treatments, medications, and special care have become very difficult for our family to cover. That’s why I am reaching out here with all my heart to ask for your support. Any donation, no matter how small, will help cover her needs and allow her to receive the care she deserves.

Hola, mi nombre es Bárbara Rojas y hoy me encuentro escribiendo estas palabras con el corazón en la mano para pedir ayuda para mi abuela, Marianela Mendoza, quien a sus 81 años está enfrentando la batalla más difícil de su vida.

Hace 6 meses le diagnosticaron carcinoma de células escamosas en la garganta, un tipo de cáncer muy doloroso que le dificulta comer, hablar y hasta respirar en algunos momentos. Verla pasar por este proceso ha sido una de las experiencias más duras para toda nuestra familia, pero también hemos visto su fortaleza y sus ganas de seguir luchando.

Mi abuela siempre ha sido el pilar de nuestra familia: la mujer que nos enseñó valores, que con amor y esfuerzo nos sacó adelante, y que ha estado ahí en cada momento importante de nuestras vidas. Hoy nos toca a nosotros estar para ella.

Los gastos médicos, tratamientos, medicamentos y cuidados especiales se han vuelto una carga muy difícil de cubrir para nuestra familia.
