Support Marian Derrico's Fight Against Cancer

Hello World for those I’m creating this GoFundMe, for GG America’s favorite grandmother… During a recent live that my Mother in Love❤️ GG, posted, many of you her (Fans) were requesting that GG, start a GoFundMe, based on her health challenges and need as a means to curtail the thousands upon thousands of dollars in expenses relating to her health as many of you have witnessed in the past 5 past years with GG aka Marian Derrico!

Imagine having your strength tested every single day for 14 years by a disease that refuses to let go—yet still waking up every morning with faith, love, and gratitude in your heart. That’s the story of GG (Marian Derrico), a mother, grandmother of 14, and the matriarch of the Derrico family—known to many from the reality series Doubling Down with the Derricos.

In 2014, GG was working—yes, working at age 64—when she took a fall that would change everything. A routine ER visit revealed something no one could prepare her for: Stage 2 lung cancer. She was told she had just 1 to 3 years left to live, in 2014.

That was 11 years ago. And she’s still here—fighting. Praying. Enduring.

But the fight has not been easy.

The Silent Battle

Over the past decade, GG’s (Marian) journey has been a heartbreaking rollercoaster of:

    •    Tumors shrinking, only to return.

    •    The heavy toll of chemotherapy and radiation.

    •    A diagnosis of COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) and serious heart complications.

Yet through it all, she continued to support and uplift her large family, helping raise her grandchildren and remaining the emotional backbone of the Derrico clan, as well as many of you when you contact her for input on your own health struggles.

But today… after many of you have spoken and with great consideration GG, and I spoke on starting her GoFundMe, as a way of allowing you her supporters, and her extended family aka her fans, to give your help in GG’s holistic medical journey expense's! GG, does have health insurance, but unfortunately health insurance doesn’t cover holistics medicine or care which is very expensive and GG, has become so weak while pursuing a healthy lifestyle the seemingly endless need for chemo and other modern day medicines that has been exhausted… has GG, feeling somewhat defeated.

The Reality Behind the Camera

Many recognize GG, from Doubling Down with the Derricos, where her love, strength, and humor touched hearts across the nation. But due to health challenges and ongoing contract negotiations with a new television network, she desperately want to go back into the workforce because she just can’t make it off of social security alone, but she was forced into an early retirement due to her health challenges and against her, independence and pride GG, have to depend on her only living son DEON, for all but not limited to Her housing, utilities bills, car note, car insurance, etc. Although, GG,

Her only living son, Deon Derrico, is doing everything in his power to care for her while also raising 14 children. Although, Deon, is willing to do anything for his mother her health needs is overly complicated even for him to give the financial support on top of what he’s already covering, And despite his efforts, the costs of out-of-pocket cancer care—both traditional and holistic—are overwhelming.

The travel expenses while seeking medical holistic care is such a huge expense and overwhelming just thinking of how will this be paid for is a huge worry for GG, which is what led to the many suggestions by her fans being given regarding a fundraising for her In this brutal economy and as a 75 year old senior citizen is terrifying and even the strongest families need help—and the Derrico family is no exception.
