Hi, my name is Mariah and I've recently been diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis. This is an autoimmune condition that, over time, causes the spine to fuse together. My doctors have told me the imaging I've had done of my back looks like a 90-year-old's with severe arthritis. This has been a difficult time for me and my kiddos, as I've had to stop working to focus on treatment and allow my body to rest. Treatment at this time includes a biologic injection that destroys my immune system. I've also set up an appointment with a doctor in Canada who prescribes a regimen of medications to help cure autoimmune conditions like I have.

As many of you know, I have 4 small children who I am still supporting and raising 100% by myself. This early on in my treatment, there are some days I cannot even walk or get out of bed. I'm praying that once these medications start working, it will relieve my pain and I can get back to work and juggling my normal, busy schedule with my kids.

I am raising funds to help cover our monthly expenses as well as the treatment the doctor in Canada is offering. Since it is not FDA approved, all the costs must come out of pocket. I'm hoping financially we can get by until I'm able to return to work.
