With a heavy heart, Maria Sara Cornejo Lopez passed away on Sunday, 23 February 2025

She passes into heaven to reunite with God, her parents and a younger brother.

Sara was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend to many. She leaves behind her legacy in the hands of her children, Filiberto, Carlos, and Lupe. She places her seven grandchild and one great grandchild in the hands and will of God.

Sara lived her life as an example of what tender kindness, love, trust and compassion look like.

Sara moved from Salvatierra, Guanajuato to Santa Barbara, California in her early 20s and raised her family here, and later helped extend her blessing and opportunity to her siblings to also join her here in this wonderful country.

A devoted woman of faith, she interested her family and friends well-being in the hands of Jesus Christ, and she does not leave our lives us with sadness, but with grateful hearts to have her as a pillar to our many families and community.

Ella pasa al cielo para reunirse con Dios, sus padres y un hermano menor.

Sara fue madre, abuela, bisabuela, hermana, tía y amiga querida de muchos. Deja su legado en las manos de sus hijos, Filiberto, Carlos y Lupe. Coloca a sus siete nietos y un bisnieto en las manos y voluntad de Dios.

Sara vivió su vida como un ejemplo de lo que la ternura, bondad, amor, confianza y compasión significan.

Sara se trasladó de Salvatierra, Guanajuato a Santa Bárbara, California, cuando tenía poco más de 20 años, y crió a su familia aquí. Más tarde, ayudó a extender su bendición y oportunidad a sus hermanos para que también pudieran unirse a ella en este maravilloso país.

Una mujer devota de fe, ella entregó el bienestar de su familia y amigos en las manos de Jesucristo, y no nos deja con tristeza, sino con corazones agradecidos por haberla tenido como un pilar para nuestras muchas familias y comunidad.
