Hi Friends and Family, with a heavy heart, we do this for one of our beloved friends, our neighbor, who unfortunately, on her way to work, the work van was stopped by ICE and now is under ICE custody. Maria Reyna is a grandmother and a mom who has no criminal record. She’s deeply suffering; yesterday she had a panic attack, and they didn’t do anything to help her. Her family has tried reaching out to various lawyers who give the family no hope and instead have told her just to self-deport. How can someone be so inhuman? Maria is not a criminal; she’s been here for more than 26 years. Maria’s family is suffering without her; she is the family leader. She wasn’t caught stealing but on her way to work. As a community, we stand with her and ask you all to help us help her family. Maria Reyna needs to purchase food while detained, and the family needs help with lawyer expenses and any other expenses that may come on the way.
