On February 28th, our family received incredibly devastating news that one of our family members had passed away unexpectedly.

Maria Ramirez was the mother to my three nieces, Delilah, Aliyah and her youngest Aria and to my nephew Bryson who preceded her in death. She was my brothers (Gerardo) love of his life.

Maria has dealt with a lot of health issues for a majority of her life since she was diagnosed with diabetes. That included having dialysis three times a week for the last several years of her life and waiting for a transplant. Although she had all these health issues, she was not in any serious state where her family expected her passing so suddenly.

If you knew Maria, you knew that she was one of the most energetic, kindest, down to earth souls you would ever meet. She never had anything bad to say about anyone and always tried her best to make her loved ones feel appreciated, loved and supported even on days when she didn’t feel her best. Maria was always wanted the most out of life. If you put on some bachata, reggaeton or hip hop, you just knew she either knew the song lyrics word for word or she would be dancing to it. Most of the time you always saw her dancing or just simply swaying while cooking or watching music videos on her phone. She truly loved life.

The financial burden of arranging a funeral is overwhelming. We wanted to help out with funeral expenses since Maria did not have any form of life insurance or preparations.
