Hello, my name is María Ilusión Chacón. Today, I write to you with my heart wide open. Asking for help is not easy, but I’m facing one of the most challenging moments of my life, and I know I cannot walk this path alone.

I am a hardworking woman, honest, responsible, and raised with strong family values. For years, I’ve worked in kitchen construction, a craft I’m deeply passionate about and that has allowed me to build a life with dignity and perseverance.

But maybe you don’t know me just for my work. You might remember me from a time we shared as friends, participating in any of the activities I enjoy. I’m an open and spontaneous person with my friends, always willing to lend a hand, share a smile, or simply listen. I’ve always tried to be respectful, caring, and optimistic, even in the hardest times.

And I’ve had to stay strong—because this isn’t the first time cancer has crossed my path.

In 2016, I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I underwent a complex Whipple procedure in 2017, followed by intense treatments. Later, cancer returned and spread, forming a tumor around my mesenteric artery deemed inoperable. Despite everything, I managed to move forward thanks to my faith and medical treatments.

But now, life has presented me with a new challenge.

In 2025, after severe symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome, doctors discovered a new tumor behind my colon, measuring approximately 6 cm. Unlike my previous tumors, this one cannot be surgically removed. Yet there is still hope—a treatment that could give me the chance to keep living.

I have been accepted into an intensive 21-day program at Hope4Cancer Hospital in Mexico. This facility offers advanced, integrative treatments designed to strengthen the immune system and fight cancer holistically, without toxic chemicals. The therapies I’ll receive include:
