In 2023, everything turned upside down for Maria and Ruben Gonzalez. As a wife, and

the mother of their 5-year-old daughter, Mariella, Maria started experiencing difficult

symptoms her left leg. After countless tests and endless doctor’s appointments, Maria

heard those frightening words in December of 2023 that she was diagnosed with

Cancer, and immediately she, Ruben, and Mariella were thrown into the world of

radiation, chemotherapy, crippling fatigue, mounting medical bills, and dreaded

questions about the future.

Maria’s cancer continued to progress throughout 2024, spreading to vital organs and

causing dangerous blood clots in her left foot and left hip. Just two weeks ago, after

experiencing trouble breathing, Maria was rushed to the hospital where they discovered

that her right lung had collapsed from a newly formed blood clot. She has been

hospitalized since that visit and was just recently told by her neurosurgeon that the

cancer has now spread to her spine.

Following Ruben & Maria’s story closely, we at Western Site Services have created this

GoFundMe page to help off-set medical costs and to encourage Rueben, Maria, and

Mariella with love and support. As a member of the Western Site Services team,

Rueben is more than just an employee. He is family and family sticks together.
