Hi everyone. My name is Jocelyn and I am doing this GoFundMe to help raise money for funeral and medical bills for my aunt Maria Castaneda who passed away 04/10/25 due to Cholangiocarcinoma stage 4 at the early age of 44. Cholangiocarcinoma is a very aggressive cancer to treat due to the fact that it will only show symptoms once you’re in the late stages and by then there is no cure and a very poor prognosis. This cancer is typically found in people aged 65 and up and slightly more often in men than women. My aunt was diagnosed early February and in 2 months it took her life.

My aunt was a very kind soul, always helping anywhere she was needed and was always fun to be around. She leaves behind her husband Jose and her 6 children , 3 girls ages 21, 19 and 16 as well as 3 boys aged 12, 9 and 8. We are extremely heart broken by her passing and will be thankful for any kind of help we can get thru these hard times.

Me llamo Jocelyn y estoy haciendo este GoFundMe para recaudar fondos para los gastos funerarios y médicos de mi tía María Castañeda, quien falleció el 04/10/25 debido a un cáncer llamado colangiocarcinoma etapa 4 a la temprana edad de 44 años. El colangiocarcinoma es un cáncer muy agresivo de tratar debido a que solo presenta síntomas en las últimas etapas, para entonces ya no tiene cura y su pronóstico es muy malo. Este cáncer se presenta generalmente en personas de 65 años o más, y es ligeramente más frecuente en hombres que en mujeres. Mi tía fue diagnosticada a principios de febrero y en dos meses perdió la vida.

Mi tía era una persona muy amable, siempre ayudaba donde la necesitaban y siempre era un placer estar con ella. Ella deja atrás a su esposo José y sus 6 hijos, 3 niñas de 21, 19 y 16 años, así como 3 niños de 12, 9 y 8 años. Estamos extremadamente desconsolados por su fallecimiento y estaremos agradecidos por cualquier tipo de ayuda que podamos obtener en estos tiempos difíciles.
