Support Maria Zuniga urgent stem cell transplant

My name is Maria Zuniga. In October 2024 my life began to change quite a bit. If I am being honest, my life has changed drastically. I was diagnosed with cancer, multiple myeloma. A cancer diagnosis is something no one wants to live through but I am thankful. The blessings I have received throughout this journey are a testimony of the glory of God. I know I am a child of God because He has shown me just how wonderful His love is.

I have always worked hard to take care of my family.

Those who personally know me know that I am a passionate and hard worker.

Today, I am writing a request that is both important and humbling. I need to have a stem cell transplant to help put my cancer into remission. I will be facing financial challenges during my four month recovery period because I will not be able to work. I currently live paycheck to paycheck and have no savings. I tried to schedule this procedure for January 2026 in order to get financially prepared however, my provider advised me on March 14, 2025, that I need to get this procedure done once my current round of chemotherapy is complete. The stem cell transplant procedure is scheduled on May 22, 2025.

I am now at a point where I need to ask for your help to raise funds to be able to get this procedure and to help me pay the monthly and medical bills that keep coming my way. Please know I do not take this request lightly and I fully understand the responsibility it comes with.

Mi nombre es María Fernanda. En octubre de 2024 mi vida comenzó a cambiar bastante. Si soy honesta, mi vida ha cambiado drásticamente. Me diagnosticaron cáncer, mieloma múltiple. Un diagnóstico de cáncer es algo que nadie quiere vivir, pero estoy agradecido. Las bendiciones que he recibido a lo largo de este viaje son un testimonio de la gloria de Dios. Sé que soy una hija de Dios porque Él me ha mostrado lo maravilloso que es su amor. Siempre he trabajado duro para cuidar de mi familia. Aquellos que me conocen personalmente saben que soy apasionada y me esfuerzo por trabajar fuerte para salir adelante. Necesito un trasplante de células madre para ayudar a poner mi cáncer en remisión. Me enfrentaré a desafíos financieros durante mi período de recuperación de cuatro meses porque no podré trabajar. Actualmente dependo de mi sueldo y no dispongo de ahorros. Intenté programar este procedimiento para enero de 2026 con el fin de prepararme financieramente, sin embargo, mi doctor me informó el 14 de marzo de 2025, que necesito hacer este procedimiento una vez que se complete mi ronda actual de quimioterapia. El procedimiento de trasplante de células madre está programado para el 22 de mayo de 2025. Por este medio estoy solicitando la colaboración para recaudar fondos para poder obtener este procedimiento y para ayudarme a pagar las facturas mensuales y médicas que siguen llegando a mí. Por favor, sepa que no me tomo esta solicitud a la ligera y entiendo completamente la responsabilidad que conlleva.
