Our five-year-old niece, Margo, and her mom, Ashley, are facing one of the hardest battles a family can go through.

Margo was recently diagnosed with leukemia. Her absolute neutrophil count dropped rapidly, and within days she went from “watching closely” to being fully admitted into the world of ports, spinal taps, chemotherapy, and long hospital stays. Her treatment will span years — with intense phases over the next several months and ongoing maintenance treatment that will continue well into her childhood.

Ashley is a single mom who has given everything she has to make sure Margo has a stable, happy, and magical little life. She runs a very small Airbnb cleaning business, but business has slowed down dramatically — and as any parent knows, leukemia treatment becomes a full-time job. Between hospital visits, procedures, medications, immune system precautions, and unpredictable days, Ashley is simply unable to keep up with work the way she used to.

She has never asked for help before.

But right now, she needs support — financially, emotionally, and practically — just to keep life steady for Margo.
