As most of you know, Jennie and Aaron had their baby girl Margo Danielle on August 3rd. We knew she had congenital heart disease but not to what extent. She went right to the NICU where she was until yesterday. In the last 11 days she has been on a CPAP and lasix because she was breathing so fast. She had a case of NEC which has gone away with meds. She is having heart surgery tomorrow morning. They are banding the tube that's pumping too much blood to lungs. They also removed the PDA, which you dint need after birth. Everything went well with no surprises. They are looking at a surgery to repair the hole within the next 12 months. We had hoped she'd be home by now. It will be at least 2 more weeks before she can come home. All of this running from Stanwood to Grand Rapids every day is starting to cause a real hardship for the kids. Between gas and car repairs it's getting costly. Aaron and I have both had to miss work and Jennie won't be able to go back to work for quite awhile. We are very touched by the the outpouring of support and prayers. We hate to ask but they have two other kids to support and buy groceries for. They have a mortgage and bills. If you could find it in your heart to even donate a dollar to help the kids get through this rough patch and have one less thing to worry about, we would really appreciate it. TIA
UPDATE. Margo is still in the hospital. PICU now. She has had one surgery to put a band on a valve to lessen blood flow. She is still getting to much blood to her lungs. She has NEC again and has been taken off tube feeds. Next week, after being on the antibiotics for a few days, they are looking at going back in to work on the aortic arch. She will be battling this a long time. Thank you so much for your support and prayers!!
UPDATE as of 9/09. Things are moving slowly. The infecting is leaving but she win by be ready for surgery until next week now. The whole reason for this gofundme is to make sure Cleo and Archie have what they need and Aaron can get to work and Jennie can get to the hospital and wherever Margo needs to go when she gets out. This of course, includes food. Gas and car repairs on their two old vehicles. The Mariner broke down today in the highway going to see Margo so that's another $500 out of their pockets. I know times are tough for everybody and I thank you all for what your doing for the kids!!
