Support for Marge, Gabby, and Baby October

We hope you will join us in holding our dear friends in mind during this difficult time. This GoFundMe is one way to show our love and support for the Leiby-Tates by easing their financial burdens and sending them messages of support. Donations will help them with covering unexpected medical bills, time off, and caring for themselves. We want to help them focus on their recovery and healing during this devastating time.

Gabby and Marge lost their precious daughter, October "Toby" Leiby-Tate on January 25th at 33 weeks. They had thoughtfully chosen this name during pregnancy and it’s in honor of their amazing moms who were born on the same day in October.

They feel it is helpful to share what happened. The doctors explained it was a complete fetal abruption: the placenta detached from the uterus, which disconnected vital blood and oxygen supplies to the baby. The doctors said it was instant so their baby did not suffer.

They still don’t know why this happened. They had their 32-week appointment the previous week and everything looked “perfect”. Marge was taking good care of herself, still exercising daily and going to work. This tragic pregnancy complication was completely unexpected for them.

They are grateful for your love and support! You can reach out to them directly, but please give them time to reply as they take care of themselves. We know Gabby and Marge have many loved ones, friends, and colleagues that they care about and who care about them. So please share this with others that can help us surround them with care and comfort now and the days ahead.
