Support Margarita's Urgent Surgery and Recovery

On November 2nd, my grandpa rushed my step-grandma, Margarita, to the hospital with intense chest pains. Many tests and hours later, they confirmed that she had gallstones and told her she’d need her gallbladder removed as soon as possible and sent her on her way with medication to manage the pain.

Come Monday, she was told the soonest availability for the surgery is looking like 2 weeks out, meaning not only is she dealing with pain and discomfort, but she is unable to work her normal job during this time. Margarita and my Grandpa have just moved into a different living situation and work to support their family and furry friend, Princessa, the best they can. Margarita also helps financially to support her son and granddaughter. She is one of the sweetest and most caring people you would ever meet and treats everyone as though they are family.

We wanted to organize an opportunity to help raise funds for Margarita and her family during this difficult time. The ER visit and upcoming surgery are estimated to be a few thousand dollars, and the loss of wages during the next few weeks are putting a lot of stress and uncertainty on their family during an already stressful time of moving.
