At 27 years old, cancer was the last thing I expected to hear. In what felt like a blur, my life shifted from normal routines and future plans to biopsies, oncology appointments, chemotherapy, and preparing for major surgery.
I’ve been diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer — an aggressive form that requires intensive treatment. Since my diagnosis, I have completed 12 rounds of chemotherapy and am now preparing for the next stage of surgery and recovery. While I’m incredibly grateful for the medical team guiding me through this, the financial weight of treatment has been overwhelming.
Even with insurance, the costs add up quickly — deductibles, co-pays, imaging, medications, surgery, reconstruction, time off work, and the countless unexpected expenses that come with cancer treatment. I am paying for this on my own. And the reality is, no 28-year-old has tens of thousands of dollars saved for a life-altering medical emergency.
I have worked hard, built my life responsibly, and never imagined I would need to ask for help like this. But cancer doesn’t wait until you’re financially “ready.” It doesn’t care how old you are or how carefully you planned your future.
If you feel led to support me — whether through a donation, a prayer, or sharing this page — it would mean more than I can put into words. Your generosity will help cover ongoing medical bills, surgery expenses, and allow me to focus on healing.
Most importantly, thank you for walking beside me during the hardest season of my life. I believe in God’s faithfulness, I believe in healing, and I believe in the power of community.
With love and gratitude,
Margarita
