Support Margarita's Battle Against Cancer

Hola a todos,

Nunca pensé que tendría que escribir esto, pero hoy les pido ayuda para mi increíble mamá, Margarita.

En noviembre del año pasado, mi mamá fue diagnosticada con cáncer de seno y rápidamente se le realizó una mastectomía. Desafortunadamente, el cáncer ha seguido progresando y se ha extendido a otros órganos de su cuerpo. Su caso es particularmente complicado, ya que es un cáncer triple negativo y ha debilitado uno de sus pulmones. Debido a esto y al avance de la enfermedad, estamos evaluando opciones de tratamiento adicionales fuera de Puerto Rico. A lo largo de este proceso, nos hemos aferrado a la fe, la fortaleza y el esperanza.

En estos momentos, mi mamá necesita enfocarse completamente en su salud. Como familia, estamos haciendo todo lo posible para apoyarla, pero el avance del cáncer ha traído consigo muchas necesidades adicionales en su camino hacia la recuperación. También estamos explorando opciones fuera de Puerto Rico con la esperanza de encontrar el mejor tratamiento para ella. Solo quiero que mi mamá pueda centrarse en su recuperación sin preocuparse por nada más.

Hello everyone,

I never thought I would have to write this, but today I am asking for help for my incredible mom, Margarita.

Last November, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and quickly underwent a mastectomy. Unfortunately, the cancer has continued to progress and has spread to other organs. Her cancer is very particular as it is triple-negative, and it has weakened one of her lungs. Because of this and the way the cancer has advanced in my mom’s body, we are evaluating additional options for treatment outside of Puerto Rico. We have faced everything with a lot of faith, strength, and hope.

Due to this, my mom has had to focus entirely on her health. As a family, we are doing everything possible to support her, but as the cancer has progressed, many needs for her recovery have arisen along the way. To continue her recovery, we are also seeking treatment outside of Puerto Rico for her full healing. I just want my mom to be able to focus on her recovery without any worries.
