Some stories don’t need loud moments to be heard.
They live in the quiet - in memories, in gestures, in the feeling of someone who is no longer there… but never truly gone.

The Last Dance is one of those stories.

Hi everyone,

I am a Los Angeles-based filmmaker, Story and CG artist, specializing in storytelling through animation. With a background in both 2D and 3D pipelines, my work focuses on character, emotion, and visually driven narratives.

I was born and raised in Yerevan, Armenia, where I developed a deep connection to storytelling from an early age, growing up in a creative environment shaped by film and television. I later moved to Los Angeles, where I earned my Master’s degree in 3D Animation & VFX from the New York Film Academy.

I’ve just completed my first short, hand-drawn animated film, The Last Dance - a project that is deeply personal to me.

About the Film

The Last Dance is my directorial debut, developed between Armenia and Los Angeles and completed over two years as an independent production.

It was created with no budget by a team of two - my friend and I built the entire film from the ground up, from concept and design to frame-by-frame animation.

This film is a reflection of what it means to believe in an idea and follow it through, even with limited resources. It stands as a reminder-both to myself and to other creatives - that if you truly believe in your story, you can bring it to life no matter the circumstances.

In a time where technology is rapidly evolving, this project was created entirely through a hands-on, human process - without relying on AI - guided by intuition, craft, and a deep love for storytelling.

Synopsis

The film follows an elderly woman living with her dog as she navigates life after the loss of her husband.

Through quiet moments and memories of their shared joy - especially dancing - the story explores love, absence, and the invisible thread that continues to connect us to the people we’ve lost.

It is a reflection on how even the smallest moments can hold a lifetime, and how memories keep love alive.

Why I’m Asking for Support

This film was created with almost no resources - just time, care, and belief.

Now, the next step is to bring it into the world through film festivals, where it can be seen, felt, and shared with audiences beyond my screen.

However, festival submission fees can quickly add up, and as an emerging independent filmmaker, this becomes a real challenge.

That’s why I’m opening this space - not just to ask for support, but to invite you to be part of this journey.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward festival submissions and help give this film a life beyond my computer.

If you’re not able to contribute, even sharing this page truly means a lot.

Thank You

You’re not just supporting a film.
You’re helping a story be seen, felt, and remembered.

And that means everything
