Hello! I’m making this Go Fund Me on behalf of our mother, who was just diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. Growing up in a Christian household, we know where our faith lies. We continue to ask for prayers in hopes that our mother will continue to stay strong in her battle against cancer. Never in our lives did we expect for this to happen and I’m sure many others have shared that same experience and feeling. My mother, Margarita Rivas, the oldest of 3 siblings grew up in a small rice harvesting town in Texas and has considered this place her home for many years. She is married and has 3 children. She works as a para professional teacher at her local high school. She started off as a bus driver for the school district and eventually made the leap into the high school where she works at now. Our mother is a warrior. Having battled through so many challenges throughout her life. My sisters and I have always admired our mother’s strength to just keep pushing and moving forward. Her biggest motivation in life are the grand children she now has and she loves them dearly. We now have 2 more on the way and our mother just can’t wait to meet them. She is wanting to stay strong for those 2 baby girls coming into this world, as she has been for her oldest grandchildren. We have started fundraising in hopes that we can help my mother with the costs of her treatment and to be able to help her live a better and more comfortable lifestyle while she goes through these harsh treatments. With all this being said, we are asking for help from those with a big heart as well as any words of comfort. Anything small helps and our entire family would be eternally grateful for that. This has really taken a toll on our family being that Our mother has been the biggest pillar in our family’s life.
