Support Margarita Martinez After Tragic Loss

We are raising funds to help Margarita Martinez pay for funeral expenses for her son Mario and personal medical bills.

Margarita is a 75-year-old retired housekeeper who lived with her son Mario. He had been her companion and caretaker these several years. On April 18, 2025, Mario rode his bicycle to the park as he often did and never returned home. Unknown to his mother, Mario was struck by a fire truck on April 19, 2025, around 4 pm while riding his bike at Juniper Park and 80th Street in Middle Village, Queens. He died at the site of the accident. Her son was her only support system these several years as her daughter passed away 3 years prior due to COVID-19-related complications. Margarita has additional medical health issues with breast cancer and upcoming radiation treatment.
